Description
GILROY, CA — A pedestrian was seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle Saturday evening in Gilroy, police said.
Officers along with fire and medical personnel responded to a report of the crash at the intersection of Monterey and Leavesley roads at around 5:50 p.m., police said.
The victim, identified by police as an adult male, suffered major injuries and was transported to a local trauma center according to police.
The driver of the involved vehicle remained at the scene and was cooperative, police said.
No drugs or alcohol are suspected to have been a factor in the collision according to police.
