The idea of more people walking around with guns to jump in and "save the day" when a shooter goes on a rampage is a flawed concept. Innocent people will be injured, maimed and killed by "friendly fire". When 2 "good guys with guns" encounter each other in the middle of an active shooter incident what is to prevent them from each mistaking the other for the active shooter? What is to prevent an unarmed citizen from assuming that the "good guys with gun" is not in fact the active shooter? How will the police be able to tell the active shooter from the "good guys with guns"? What training will the so called "good guys with guns" have concerning firing at a person when other innocent people may be nearby in the line of fire? The gun lobby will always come up with an anecdotal incident where things worked out because a "good guy with a gun" was involved. That is more likely the exception as opposed to the rule. The "good guys with guns" cure is worse than the ill. It is a diversion from the real solution. When the people demand we decrease the availability of the preferred weapons of mass killing then we will see a decrease in mass killing incidents. Don't let the gun nuts pull the wool over your eyes. Vote out the politicians who cater to the gun lobby.
