Our award-winning Junior Ranger program engages with children to make an oath to protect their beloved state parks and share their ranger stories with friends and family. Eldorado Canyon State Park is looking for future young ambassadors of the park. The programs offer fun interactive outdoor games, learning activities, and fun crafts each with a unique theme. Children who attend the programs will earn their official Junior Ranger badge and certificate. For this event, we will learn smart methods on how to prepare for bear encounters to keep ourselves and the bears safePlease arrive a few minutes early, the program will begin promptly at 9:30 am; meet at Eldorado Canyon Visitor Center located at 9 Kneale Road, Eldorado Springs, CO 80025.This event is for children ages 6-12 with parental guidance required to be presentProgram admission is up to 9 children (not including parents) Restrooms are available at visitor center The program is free, but a valid Colorado State Park's Pass is required to enter and can be purchased at the entrance station or visitor center. The fee is $10 per vehicle.Please bring sunscreen, snacks, and dress for changing weatherEldorado Canyon naturalist, Irlanda will be leading the Junior Ranger program I will send a message to confirm the trip and remind participants to cancel if they can no longer attend, so those on the waitlist can join the program.
