Press release from the County of Dane: May 25, 2022 The Dane County Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of a 38-year-old female in the town of York. Deputies responded to a home on York Center Road at approximately 1:30 pm on Tuesday, May 24. The Medical Examiner's (ME) Office also responded to the scene and an autopsy was conducted on Wednesday, May 25. The woman's identity will be released by the ME's Office following notification to her family. Sheriff's investigators worked through the night canvassing the rural area and conducting interviews. Deputies are continuing to collect evidence and process the scene. Additional information will be shared as it becomes available.
