Our beautiful 8 month old Great Dane, Tilly, was hit by a girl speeding down our rural street. Tilly had jumped out of my SUV as soon as I opened the car door in the driveway before I could grab her leash. My husband was stopping traffic to try and corral her back to our yard and this girl wasn't paying attention and struck her. She stopped for a few seconds then took off. We rushed her to an emergency vet clinic in Westford, MA where she was treated and is recovering extremely well but the bills are expensive.
