The Pierce County Medical Examiner's Office has confirmed the identity and the cause and manner of death of the child who died as the result of this incident.
No evidence of significant physical injury was found during examination of the decedent. There is also no indication from investigation of the circumstances surrounding the death to indicate the decedent died from injury sustained in an altercation or assault. Investigation into the cause of this young person's death is currently focusing on other areas. The cause of death will be posted on this site when it is determined.
