Consolidated Sterilizer Systems has been making autoclaves since 1946 right here in Massachusetts. They are an FDA registered facility and ship a few hundred autoclaves per year.See what it takes to make quality scientific equipment!The processes, supplies, equipment, best practices and safety measures required to produce quality end-products will be visible and explained during the tour.10:15am-11:15am: Arthur Trapotsis, President and Chief Executive Officer, and VP of Operations, Bob Young, will take us on a tour of the work cells, following Agile/Lean best practices, that form the process for producing these complex products. These work cells include cutting/forming/ machining, assembly, testing, certifying as well as labelling, packaging, and shipping.The tour will take about one hour and questions will be encouraged.===Free however preregistration is required and space is limited.Special Requirements: Please be aware that you are in a manufacturing facility. Safety glasses will be provided and closed toes shoes without high heels are required. Masks will be required.
