Join us in a traditional Maya Cacao, Fire, & Tobacco ceremony led by Aj'qil Marina Cruz. She is a ceremonial leader from the Maya Tz'utujil community located in San Pedro La Laguna, Guatemala. She will be blessing us with teachings from the Maya Cosmovision passed down from her father Tata Pedro who was an Aj'qil and Day Keeper of the Maya Tz'utujil tradition. We will be working with the spirit of Cacao, with the sacred element of Fire, and with the sacred plant Tobacco. What to bring: Please bring a yoga mat, blanket, or small rug. This is an outdoor event and we will be sitting on mother Earth. There will be partial shade but mostly sun, bring a hat or sunscreen. If you have any ceremonial clothes, musical instruments, or cups, you are welcome to bring them. What to wear: Wear comfortable clothes, please note that this is an outdoor event and that it will be in the high 70s. Feel free to wear ceremonial clothes.
