AURORA TOWNSHIP, IL — A 26-year-old Aurora man is facing several felony charges after Kane County deputies alleged he shot at a person while driving past them on Christmas afternoon in Aurora Township. Michael Corral, of the 1000 block of South Lincoln Avenue, was arrested Friday evening during after police stopped his car in the area of Lincoln and Evans avenues in Aurora, according to a news release from the Kane County Sheriff's Office. 2 Dead In Apparent Murder-Suicide In Aurora: Police Corral was charged with aggravated discharge of a firearm at a person, aggravated assault - discharge of a firearm from a vehicle, and possession of a firearm with a revoked FOID card, the release states. Sheriff's deputies said they identified Corral as a suspect in the Christmas Day drive-by shooting based on recent threats made against the person who was targeted, as well as surveillance footage from a doorbell camera that showed the suspect's vehicle. The person who was targeted in the shooting was not hurt, police said.
