Welcome to the Kids Kitchen. Where we aim to unlock the culinary creative in our youth. Our goal is to enrich young minds on the proper way to cook and handle food as well as awaken a love for the culinary art in a world full of fast food This months class: Onigiri A stuffed rice treat filled with a variety of different fillings from fruit to meats to cheese to sweets Kids kitchen is a once a month class on the last Sunday of every month. Learning of skills will be spread out throughout those classes. A dish will be cooked every class. In the Kids Kitchen, they will learn skills such as: Creating and preparing different dishes each month and learning how to identify and utilize ingredients to open the culinary creative in you. We will cook and bake everything from pastas, meats and everything in between as well as cakes, tarts, cookies and other desserts Plating and presentation ServSafe methods of food safety and preparation How to properly utilize the tools used in the kitchen How to design a menu How to properly gauge food cost to price a food item All materials, tools and ingredients will be provided We will also have guest chefs to showcase and demonstrated different techniques, food items and the everyday life of a chef in the culinary world. Come learn how to be a chef, by chefs.
