She came to WLWT from the NBC affiliate in Bismarck, North Dakota where she received the award for Best TV News Reporter in the state from the North Dakota Broadcast Association. She also received an Eric Severeid Award for Best Series Report for her work covering Two Spirit (LGBTQ) Native Americans in the Dakotas. She won the North Dakota Broadcast Award for Best Digital Media and received an Emmy Award nomination for a short video she co-produced, wrote and edited showcasing the places and people in the state. While there, Megan anchored the highest-rated morning show during the week and reported on stories that impact Native Americans. She is a member of the NLGJA.
