Description
The Junior League of Summit hosted its first-ever Intergenerational Leadership Summit on May 15th at The Connection in Summit. The event brought together both girls and women of all ages for collaborative training exercises that helped empower them to make a difference within themselves and the community. Participants identified personal strengths, explored ways they can use those strengths to benefit others, reflected on leadership qualities that they value and learned how to set goals for future action. The event was led by facilitators from Kent Place School Girls' Leadership Institute and Junior League of Summit member, and Teen Life Coach, Lauren Adelberg.
Event Co-Chair, Anita Tung commented, "This was an opportunity for girls and women in our community to come together and connect in a meaningful way. It was both powerful and moving to see girls and women of all ages share their experiences, and learn from and support one another. It was an inspiring, transformative and fun-filled afternoon."
The Junior League of Summit hopes to make the International Leadership Summit an annual event that will grow from year to year.
