BRIDGEPORT, CT — Route 8 south in Bridgeport is a traffic mess after an early-afternoon crash, according to the state Department of Transportation. DOT officials report the three-vehicle accident, which took place between exits 3 and 2, has closed the right and center lanes of the state highway.
