Corey Arthur White, 42, has been charged with murder and possessing a weapon during the commission of a violent crime. His arrest is in connection to the body that was found at the Rivers Avenue Economy Inn on Monday. (Live 5 News WCSC)Federal prosecutors have charged four South Carolina residents with fraud related to $4.7 million in COVID-19 pandemic loans. The U.S. District Court in Charleston will be reviewing the case brought against Lori Hammond and her associates. The fraud is related to false statements made regarding the number of employees, expenses, and taxes made during the loan application process. (Charleston Post Courier)A new lager and hard kombucha brewery called Bevi Bene Brewing Company will begin serving Charleston customers on Jun. 25. This brewery is the first of its kind to operate in the city's brewery district. The brewery's grand opening event will feature live music, local food, and rotating brews.
