We're searching for a Warehouse Slab Lead out of our North Hills, CA warehouse to supervise all activities in the Slab Department including shipping, receiving, and sales assistance. This lead would train slab department employees, ensure safety protocols are being followed, deal with the shipping and receiving of slabs, and keep the warehouse ready for client viewing of slab materials. Hours: 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday thru Friday – consistent 40 hours per week Scope of role: Trains and supervises slab department employees by monitoring safety protocols and partnering with management on incoming and outgoing slab materials Ensures staff is following safety procedures. Consistently provides updates to management regarding safety initiatives Handles the shipping & receiving of slabs Loads client pickups Processes returns Unloads & load containers of slabs Assists sales staff Assists with photographing inventory of slabs Keep inventory of slabs clean and ready for showing Set yourself apart: You have 5 years general warehouse experience You have experience with slab boom, forklift, overhead crane, and cascade clamp lift You’ll have great communication and supervisory skills You can pass a drug and background check About us and what we offer: Walker Zanger is a nation-wide luxury Tile and Stone Retailer and Distributor, founded in 1952.
