Registration 8:30am-9:00am Presentation 9:00am-10:30am Reflexive Clinical Supervision Presented by Jack Register, LCSW, LCAS, CCS, BC-TMH Description Reflexive practice is reflective but action-oriented practice. In clinical supervision this allows for the supervisor to actively allow themselves to learn and grow from the day-to-day experiences. With empirical support from the literature, this model of clinical supervision allows for the practitioner to bring forward resilience, solution focused thinking, and strengths-based perspectives as a norm. This workshop introduces participants to this model of supervision through case examples and a review of the literature. Objectives: Demonstrate the key differences between reflexive supervision and traditional models of didactic skill-focused mastery teach backs Demonstrate the integration of solution-focused and strengths perspectives in supervision through key terms in the dialogue with the supervisee Demonstrate how strengths-based perspectives can allow a culture of learning and growing within a clinical practice Continuing Education: 1.5 Continuing Education Credits or NBCC Clock Hours available. Please note you must register to receive a continuing education certificate. No partial credit will be given. The Meadows is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. The Meadows maintains responsibility for this program and its content. Course meets criteria for 1.5 hours of continuing education for psychologists. The Meadows is an NBCC-Approved Continuing Education Provider (ACEP) and may offer NBCC-approved clock hours for events that meet NBCC requirements.
