"Speaking of Books..." is a children's book club, exploring a new genre or theme each month with age appropriate and leveled reading books. Participants will have approximately one month to : Select & read their book (anything from classics to new literature)Choose from a list of projects to design & share the book highlightsCreate a brief 2-3 minute oral presentation to guide your discussion with other members of the "Speaking of Books..." book club in a fun, live setting.The dynamic duo from Polished Parents and Literally, A Bookshop will guide each child in identifying their perfect book selection to support the genre, personal interests, and reading level. Attention will be focused on providing each child support in developing their Language Arts skills through exposure to a variety of literary types of text, writing for purpose and audience, and encouraging public speaking and listening skills. "Speaking of Books..." book club members will receive emails throughout the month with all the information necessary to read, create and present their fantasy book!
