PENNSAUKEN, NJ — Camden County's Memorial Day event is set for 11 a.m. Sunday at Veterans Island at Cooper River Park, the county said.
U.S. Rep. Donald Norcross (NJ-01), Camden County Commissioner Melinda Kane and the Cherry Hill Color Guard will be among those attending.
Also at the event will be Monsignor Michael Mannion, the Camden County police chaplain; and Capt. Louis A. Cavaliere, U.S. Navy/retired vice chair of the board of the Chapel of Four Chaplains.
"For the men and women who never returned home, Memorial Day is our opportunity to make clear that they will never be forgotten," Kane said. "Every service member is a hero and deserves to be recognized and celebrated as one."
