It started with guitar for me. A literal 40 years ago. And while I stuck with Thrash styles on my axe, I can do more when called upon to learn it. I'm not a soloist, but I got some fingers for riffage. High-tempo rhythm playing no prob. I've got a couple nice guitar rigs that are small enough and loud enough.
Vocally I am FAR more versatile. I have attempted to wrap my voice around every genre and male (sometimes female) vocal type I thought I could. I love impersonation. I can scream Metal, or get down-home George Straight style. EFFECTIVELY. I can still pull off a few Geoff Tate notes, or get wacky with Weird Al and Ray Stevens. Then we can do Jeffry Osbourne, Marty Robbins, and Jim Reeves. ALL convincingly. And not all these are perfect reproductions, but still good singing and stage presence delivery. 70s love songs, country, hard rock, comedy and metal. I even discovered Cher in there somewhere. (It was an accident. Kinda fun at parties. I swear I'm a binary male...) So I'm 53, grew up in the 70s and 80s, but then I never really grew up. I'm DEEP out West in Surprise. It would take the right bunch of guys to find a schedule and be compatible with, but here I am. Sure I'd like to front a Thrashy type band or similar, and let the gains begin, or really I could find myself happy with a classic hard rock type band. Rhythm guitar and backing vocals cool too.
