Join us Lakeside for the presentation of this year’s scholarship awards!Guest Speaker: Brigitte Berger-Raish, P.E. Village of Wilmette Brigitte Berger-Raish is the Director of Engineering and Public Works for the Village of Wilmette, a recipient of the American Public Works Association national young Leaders in 2001, and the American Public Works association Top Ten Public Works Leader of the year in 2021. She has a B.S., in Civil Engineering form Marquette University. Daily, Brigitte manages the operation and maintenance of a full-service Public Works and Engineering Department consisting of 47 full-time employees in Streets, Water/Sewer, Fleet, Forestry, Facilities Management and Engineering Divisions. Some of Ms. Berger-Raisch duties include the Implementation of an annual department (2022, $24M) and capital improvement budgets (2022, $34M) Planning, design, and project management for all infrastructure improvements related to water, sewer, drainage, stormwater management, streets, traffic engineering and related projects. She is the current Staff Liaison to the Bike Master Plan Committee, Transportation Commission, and the Village Board’s Municipal Services Committee. Ms. Berger-Raish Works closely with other governmental agencies such as the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago, the Illinois Department of Transportation and Cook County Highway Department. Her personal passion is to create a positive work culture that provides opportunities for growth, fosters a cohesive team environment and celebrates the value of each employee.
