JOLIET, IL — The Will County Sheriff's Office investigation unit recovered three guns and has three people in custody for questioning in connection with a Friday morning shooting incident that happened in the Ingalls Park area of Joliet Township along Independence Avenue.
Chief Deputy Dan Jungles told Joliet Patch that sheriff's deputies were called about the gunfire at 6:46 a.m. The gunfire happened outside the house in the 100 block of Independence Avenue, and nobody was injured, Jungles said.
One shooting suspect ran from the scene into a house on Washington Street, Jungles said.
As the morning progressed, sheriff's investigators brought eight people in for questioning in connection with the shooting. By 11:30 a.m. three people were in custody as part of the questioning, however, no arrests have been made yet, Jungles said.
