Looking for a lab

I lost my lab, Rain, to cancer last august and got a german shepard (no plans to rehome her, I love her to death) to kinda fill the hole in my heart. But I have realized, I really miss having a lab in my house and every time I see one outside, I almost tear up and my heart breaks a little. I'm looking to get one (preferably yellow between 8 weeks to around a year) for reduced rehoming fee or even free, my funds are fairly limited, but there is a huge hole in my heart that desperately needs filled. Vet care is my biggest concern and most other peoples, I do have means to handle vet care. I know this is a long shot, but I will give this dog a very loving home. I do prefer purebred, if possible. Not gonna breed and will get him or her fixed once of age. I go to the woods, hike and go to the dog park and river/lake often and have a fenced back yard and a stones throw from a park. (pictures are of my Rain) Please, I know I'm asking a lot already, but don't message me if you have a pup and someone is coming to look at it and get my hopes. no one is gonna come look at a lab and not take it, especially if its cheap or free. My heart has been broken a few times already by people, saying they had one and then turned around and said they had someone looking at it the next day. It's hard enough to try and get a "replacement" for my precious rain getting jerked around and getting my hopes up. Also please be fairly local if possible, I'm not gonna drive 100 miles to come "see" a pup I may not even be able to take home.....that has also happened.
