Lighting Technician position for concerts. Must be familiar with patching DMX and moving lights. It will require travel around the Rocky Mountain Region It will also require working some weekends. This position would include duties such as setting up and configuring lighting systems, inventorying & maintaining equipment. Experience with rigging and electrical is helpful. Will include driving box trucks and vans to events. Some heavy lifting including loading and unloading trucks at our Palisade Colorado warehouse. Previous experience in the event industry is a plus, but not necessary. This job has odd hours, lots of travel, staying overnight in hotels and working outdoors in adverse weather conditions. Mountainside Production Services Inc is a full-service production house/rental company that operates in the Rocky Mountain region and is based in Palisade Colorado. Approximately 25% of our business is in Steamboat Springs Colorado, 25% is in Vail Colorado, and the rest is around other areas of Colorado, Wyoming and Utah. We provide audio, lights, staging and some video for all types of events, from corporate A/V to concert production. We operate year-round with our busy season being June through the end of September. We currently have four full time staff and many freelance audio/lighting/video technicians that we employ. You Will: Work well with clients, artists and co-workers Help keep personnel and equipment safe Maintain/follow show schedule Have a strong sense of customer service and attention to detail Be able to travel up to 80+ days a year Possess organizational and problem solving skills Be able lift a minimum of 75 pounds Have a valid driver’s license with a reasonably good driving record Have the ability (or learn) to drive box trucks in snow and on mountain passes We Will: Provide a positive/enjoyable work environment Have a flexible schedule on non-show days Encourage, support and pay for continued learning/job growth with training and industry functions (conventions, manufacturer training and certifications) Pay for travel and travel expenses Maintain a safe job site Clearly communicate expectations Operate in an ethical and trustworthy manner Additional Compensation: Seasonal bonuses paid 2x year on Oct 1st & May 1st.
