Description
Hey! Rehoming this lil guy. Originally got him and his siblings from a less than ideal situation, so I picked them up as a quarantine rehab project with intentions of rehoming once they got better. His siblings have found great homes with local people I trust, and now it's his turn! I'm widening the net a bit to see if there's any good homes out there. I love this guy, but it was never my intention to keep him forever and he is looking fantastic right now, so it's time to move on and get him a home of his own. His name is Merry (from Lord of the Rings) and he's very true to his namesake! A very adventurous, mischievous guy with a lot of energy. He's got mostly browns and reds with a hint of green in his coloration. When fired down, it's more muted browns and green. When fired up, his belly gets very red and it's more of a rich brown/red all over. He eats Pangea and the occasional crickets. I do a half-and-half watermelon + growth and breeding blend, it keeps him at a good weight. He loves to hide during the day, and then leap about starting at dusk and explore. It's fun to watch! bi-weekly handling will keep him easy to pick up. He likes to climb up your arm and chill on your shoulder, though he also thinks it's fun to climb down your back and up on top of your head as well. He loooooves chasing after crickets! Merry comes with himself (duh), his 10-gallon vertical cage (he will need an upgrade, it's a bit small for him), a coconut hide, some of his substrate, some plastic leaf decor, a SMALL amount of food, and a temperature/humidity gauge. Crested geckos make for a wonderful beginner reptile. HOWEVER, they can live 10+ years, and Merry is still very young! This means if you're planning on moving or going to college in the next decade, you need to take him with you. I want this to be his forever home. Cresties are wonderful, they don't really bite, they don't require a heat source (though they need a day/night cycle), and their food is super easy to make. If you have any questions about care, even long after you've adopted him, you can ALWAYS reach out to me! If you're a beginner, I can give you all the information you need to get him set up and happy in your home. If you're interested, please contact me! Texting will be the most effective way to reach me, but if I don't answer within a couple days try email.
