FRUSTRATED OLDER MUSICIAN SEEKS SAME

(This is a long read. Please be patient) I am a frustrated older bass guitarist! During the best of times, it is hard for an older musician to find a suitable band to join. Ever since COVID-19 reared its ugly head almost 2.5 years ago, it has been so much more difficult. This is my situation: The good: - I am a pretty decent bass guitarist. - I especially love playing oldies from the 1950s to ‘70s. - I also enjoy playing classic rock, r&b, pop, blues, British invasion, etc. - I have computer skills, so could build and maintain a band website - I can edit rehearsal and live performance audio and video. - I always come to rehearsals well prepared, and expect the same. - I am easy going, easy to get along with, a good band mate. - I am retired. - I have a car. - I am fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (4 shots) - I live in Lower Bucks County (ZIP 19020). - Check me out here: https://www.bandmix.com/bergen_bass/ The not-so-good: - I am 77 years old, and have a number of underlying health issues. - These do not affect my ability to play my instrument at all, however, I am unwilling to expose myself to COVID-19. - I need to perform seated. No jumping around on stage! - I may need help loading my gear in and out. - I will not travel more than a half hour from home. - I do not sing. - I do not have a rehearsal space. - I insist that all musicians not singing or playing a wind instrument wear a mask and social distance. What I want: To find a group of like-minded musicians who are my age peers (over 60), ideally retired, living near ZIP code 19020, who like the same kind of music, and share my concerns about health and safety. I am NOT interested in being a band leader, but willing to share that responsibility with one or 2 others. I realize that this might be a pipe dream, but for me it is worth at least checking out the possibilities. If any of this resonates with you, get back to me and describe your situation to me.
