Budding cellist seeks… to play?

Hello - I have been playing cello for a few years and very much consider myself to be an amateur. What I need/want: Opportunities to play, and to practice projects with others. Im open to informal musical gatherings, as well as more formal settings and commitment to a project. The Good: I am willing to play many kinds of music as I want experience to grow my skills and to make friends along the way. I enjoy a wide variety of musical tastes (hip hop to Balkan to Arabic to Indian classical to folk from around the world), have a good ear, and appreciate the sensitivity of playing in a group in order to let the music as a whole shine. I think I’m enjoyable to be around, have a sense of humor, am not flaky, will practice diligently and am always willing to try new things. I can play in time sigs other than 4/4 or 3/4 :) The Bad: I do not read music well (working on it) and my music theory is quite limited. I am not classically trained, and my technique is limited but improving. I learn well, and would like an opportunity to provide simple, sweet cello sounds while learning to advance my abilities simultaneously.
