Position Summary Are you ready to embark on a new adventure! Alamon is looking for a Utility Pole inspector Trainees. Our employees work 50 to 60 hours per week. Trainees are paid a flat rate of $18 per hour. There is flexibility around hours and days worked. We cover the cost of hotel and transportation when traveling. Year-round employment depends on a willingness to travel. Once you have completed pole inspector training your base hourly rate will increase to $23 an hour and you will be compensated with production-based pay with the ability to earn in the range of $30 to $40 per hour. Our best-producing inspectors have earned up to $43 per hour. Our inspectors must be reliable, flexible, and physically able to perform job duties. Responsibilities • Understand and implement all safety, quality, and production goals. • Complete inspection records, and report and follow appropriate codes and regulations. • Collect field data and perform daily and weekly reporting. • Maintain and keep records up to date on all tools, electronics, vehicles, and equipment Minimum Position Qualifications • No pole experience required • Possess a current/valid driver’s license and a clean driving record with no DUI/DWIs within the past 5 years • Must pass a criminal background check and a drug test • Willing to travel locally, statewide, or regionally as required • Have the ability and mentality to work outdoors, in a physically demanding work environment and all-weather conditions, lifting or moving up to 40 lbs., hiking in various terrain • Demonstrate leadership abilities to successfully complete job tasks while accepting full responsibility for the safe operations and maintenance of the vehicle, equipment, and tools • A professional attitude that will positively represent the Alamon organization to clients and the communities in which they work Work Environment • Will be working outdoors year-round in all kinds of weather conditions and terrain.
