Part-time weekend work Majority of the work is gardening, with some potential help around the house and running errands. I’m married with no kids, and our home where you’ll be working is in SW Portland. I like to garden. I try to grow everything from vegetables to flowers but have varied success 😊. I grow big and give produce to the local food pantry. However, I never have enough time/energy to finish all my garden tasks! I have a weekday assistant but now there is so much to do, we need a weekend assistant too! I try to grow organic so there are always things to do like moving dirt, planting, pest control, harvesting and cleaning vegetables, keeping the grounds clean. (Must be able to lift 50 pounds push, pull, bend, stoop, kneel, crawl, twist, climb, and squat.) We garden year-round so you would need to able to work outside in all weather conditions. An interest in gardening in general is cool, but no experience is necessary. I'll show you what to do and provide the tools. While gardening is the priority, we may need occasional help with picking up around the house, doing dishes, taking out the garbage, preparing for or cleaning up from a party and running errands. Note a separate house cleaner handles the major cleaning during the week. Shifts start at 7AM on Saturdays and Sundays and are either 4 or 8 hours depending on your availability. There will be an interview and background check for selected applicants.
