Description

Meet Gizmo! He is a 7 month old, neutered male Ferret. Grey and White, with a speckled face. The most adorable creature imaginable with a spunky 'tude to go with it. He's playful, precocious and loves to chase and run in his tunnel. He's very social, but can be nippy only because he wants you to play. If he plays hard enough he'll want to hang out and snuggle. He loves to dig so having something like a ball pit or a separate area he can play in bedding would be great. He requires A LOT of exercise AND interaction with his young age, and his overall species. He is not paired, but it might be best to be in a home with another Ferret or two. He loves his toys and is very particular about which ones live where in his cage. We took him in on the premise of not keeping him. His previous living conditions were not great but we couldn't leave him. We considered keeping him, however our other pets aren't too keen on him (they're senior pets). He's great with Dogs and kids, probably cats too. He's potty-trained, but as we all know a corner is a corner. For a small adoption fee to compensate some of the costs from rescuing him, he will come with ALL his essentials. 3-level Cage on casters, with ramps and covers. (the cage is only 6 months old and originally cost $350) 2 Hammocks 1 soft-crinkle tube + 1 plastic tube 1 Cat bed 1 Ball pit with balls 1 Litter Box and 2 Potty Corners + remaining litter Two water bottles (his morning and daily bottles) 1 Food Bowl (and remaining food + treats) Several Toys and hanging toys 1 month supply flea meds Fully Vaccinated with paperwork Ferret Shampoo (Supplies total ~$800) your fee is only $150. DISCLOSURE; Do Not place Ferret's in a rodent ball! I've seen plenty of people do this and I don't understand why. These animals may seem to "fit", but they are not built for such a contraption and therefore this becomes more confinement than anything. It is also recommended that you Ferret Proof your house during DAILY play. They have a catch phrase "I poop in Corners", because they will! Staying on top of their cleaning is crucial (weekly and daily cage cleanings) and bi-weekly bathing!! They like to dig in dirt, so if you have house plants, be sure they aren't accessible. They have a lot of energy and will need to be able to explore outside their cages for lengths of time. These animals need a lot of care and attention so a home with kids AND someone who's home mostly all day would be ideal. We will be screening for adoption and if we do not believe it to be a good match, unfortunately we will not pursue further. I can hang on to him as long as it takes, so preferred Ferret experience. Serious inquiries only!! Email or Text (916) TwoFourThree-0788
