Construction / Manufacturing Assistant - Sports This is not a sales position! This is a perfect position for someone just graduating seeking a new career path or someone with a vast amount of experience. Our industry is a specialized field. Our company manufactures and installs products for sports facilities. We fabricate windscreen, padding and netting. If you are a sports enthusiast or player this is the perfect opportunity for you! Our customers vary from agriculture, to schools, to sports clubs and facilities, to private sector companies, and even private homes. Our support role will assist with existing sales and customers. This position requires you to have reliable transportation and to be insurable (on our driver's insurance policy). The primary role of this position is to be the "Right Hand" of our sales and project management team. The position is ever changing and no two days will be the same. One day you may be in the office responding to emails and reviewing jobs with our project management team and another day you may be on a job site detail measuring for our manufacturing team. The preferred candidate will be a quick learner, will easily adapt to different tasks, will be a team player, and will have a sports player mentality. As a sports player you know how to work hard, you understand that practice makes perfect, and you have a drive to succeed. This is the kind of thinking our ideal candidate will have and live by! Responsibilities will include: - Detail measuring job sites - Writing up work orders - Guiding and providing tasks to our installation crew - Job walks with customers - Job site inspections - Basic computer knowledge - Must be able to respond to emails Requirements for this position: - Understanding the process order for construction industry type of work - Able to walk, sit, stand, bend and lift approx. 40 lbs. without assistance - Physically capable to work in outdoor weather conditions including heat and rainy conditions - Valid Driver's License - Able to travel out of State - Basic knowledge of use of small power tools (drills, saws, paint guns, etc) - Basic knowledge of math - measurements are of an essence in construction and manufacturing - Constant awareness of job site safety and rules/policies - Able to pass a background check and drug testing - Bilingual English/Spanish - Sports knowledge - we are a sports facilities company - basic knowledge is necessary of facilities Hours are Monday through Friday 8 am to 5pm (but may vary depending on projects).
