The fact that while people are talking about the possible overturning of Roe vs. Wade, people do not even think about the existence of a unfair and dysfunctional tax code in which the middle class is forced to pay a greater percentage of their income towards taxation than the wealthy do is noteworthy indeed. It is done under the idea that the wealthy will then reinvest the savings back into the economy. As a student of history I can tell you that it has never worked. In fact every time this was done it resulted in bad economy. Every time that happens the economy fails the crime rate rises. That means a higher murder rate. Also means that housing becomes more difficult to obtain. The medicines that people need might be very difficult for them to get because they can no longer pay for them due to losing their job when the economy fails. By the way, when the economy fails, some women might be considering abortion simply because they do not think that they could face the financial burden involved with having that child during such difficult times. History also tells us that making abortions illegal will not stop women from having them. The tax code must change so that there could be some improvement in these areas. Doing so would also save lives.
