Description

These days, it seems “everyone” is talking about justice, sustainability, creativity, and connection. There are those who talk the talk; and there are those who walk the walk. We know you’re committed to walking the walk - - to putting your values into action, to finding deep connections, and to digging into creative ways to shape a more just and sustainable world. That’s what is going to really move the needle on change. An important part of this work is having a strong network of folx who care as deeply as you and are committed to taking action. The Kite + Dart Group, Women in Sustainability, and Crafty Chassis are hosting a networking happy hour to bring together our communities and grow our networks, our creativity, and our impact. And we’ll have a lot of fun doing it! Join us for an in-person event at Improper City in Denver, CO. We’ll have opportunities for structured conversation on topics that matter to you, the chance to get creative and crafty, and some nosh to nibble on. (If you’re an extrovert and crave being around great people, we’ve got you covered. If you’re an introvert and have loved Zoom these past two years, we’ve also got you covered with some structure for an in-person event.) We promise you’ll find people you connect with, that inspire you, and that are as committed to social and environmental justice as you. RSVP now, and we’ll see you soon! Sponsors: Kite + Dart Group is a curated community of entrepreneurial activists committed to transforming the culture of business. We’re experts at helping entrepreneurial activists create customized business development strategies that work and building structures for them that empower them to achieve the goals they set for themselves. We bring an equity, inclusion, and justice focus to create a humanized system defined by your values, your passions, and your talents. Your unique contributions to the world. Women in Sustainability (WIS) is an inclusive social and environmental justice nonprofit dedicated to caring for the people that CARE for the planet through Community, Advocacy, Resources and Education to create a sustainable and equitable future through the feminist viewpoint and leadership. WIS strives to create a safe space for like-minded and diverse individuals to create purposeful connections and conversations. All are welcome in this community. Crafty Chassis is a 12-foot box truck that has been transformed into a mobile arts and crafts studio. We offer a variety of DIY projects and provide all of the tools, materials and guidance needed to help people of all ages create fun, colorful crafts. Our custom-built truck comes stuffed with enough creative inspiration to help even “non-artistic” people tap into their inner artist. The fun-loving vibe under our canopy provides a safe, social atmosphere where everyone can be inspired and take away a one of a kind handmade project. PEACE, LOVE, and ART will change the world! COVID Guidelines: This event will be held outdoors. At this time, masks and proof of vaccine or negative COVID test are not required to attend. Our sponsors follow all CDC, State, City and venue protocols that are in place at the time of the event. We ask that all attendees follow the required guidelines for both vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals including wearing a mask, if protocols are in place. We will provide updates if the policy and procedures have changed prior to attending. Regardless of mandates or vaccination status, if you are not feeling well or have come in contact with someone with the COVID-19 virus, please do not attend this event. We appreciate your help in keeping our community and their family members safe during these continued unprecedented times. In addition, we will implement a health-conscious name tag system for all attendees based on their level of comfort of contact (green = hugs & handshakes, yellow = handshakes & high fives, red = toe taps and air high fives). Health and safety are a priority to us.
