Here is a summary of the COVID-19 data released by the state of Georgia on Monday localized for Oconee and Clarke counties and for the surrounding 10-county Northeast Health District.
The Northeast Health District added five deaths from COVID-19, one in Oconee County, three in Clarke County, and one in Elbert County.The seven-day rolling average of added deaths in the District based on the two deaths reported by the Department of Public Health remained unchanged.The District added 151 cases, with 13 of those in Oconee County and 22 in Clarke County.The seven-day rolling averages fell for the District, Oconee, and Clarke.Positivity rates for molecular tests conducted in Oconee County on Dec. 24 were 37.9 percent, 23.0 percent in Clarke, and 19.6 percent in the District.Long-term care facilities in the District added 56 new COVID-19 cases among residents and 29 new cases among staff since Dec. 22.Included were cases in Oconee and Clarke counties.Area Hospitals reported a continuing increase in COVID-19 patients.For details, please go to Oconee County Observations.
