Join us at the Western Heritage Museum and Lea County Cowboy Hall of Fame on Saturday, June 4th from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm for Steampunk Family Day! During the final weekend of the exhibition, Discover Steampunk: A Fantastical Hands-on Adventure, families are welcome to tour the exhibit, participate in hands-on activities, including building automation creations and decorate Steampunk themed trinket boxes, and watch live demonstrations about electricity! Come dressed in your best Steampunk attire, the Permian Basin Steampunk Society will be on hand to discuss the world of Steampunk and judge a costume contest beginning at 2:00! Xcel Energy will be doing electrical arc demonstrations between 11 am and 1 pm. The first 50 families who attend will receive a wooden 3D steampunk airship puzzle!
