You are invited to The Fifth Annual Convening of the Second Chance Pell Sites and Partners, sponsored by Capital One. The focus of this year's convening will be Equity, Quality and Scale: Preparing for Pell Reinstatement. Over two days, we will welcome the third and final cohort of Second Chance Pell sites and celebrate the accomplishments of all who contributed to this historic initiative. This event will bring together corrections partners, colleges, accreditation agencies, and practitioners from more than 150 colleges across over 40 states, as well as representatives of the U.S. Department of Education and the U.S. Department of Justice. With Pell reinstatement on the horizon in 2023, sessions will explore lessons learned and highlight implementation innovations from colleges and corrections leaders to promote statewide collaboration. Please note that due to capacity constraints, we are only able to invite one representative per site and one representative per DOC at this time. If as the invited representative you cannot attend for any reason, please reach out to your technical assistance provider at Vera to have a representative from your team approved to attend on your behalf.  Next steps for invitees are as follows: 1. Please register at no cost via the registration button by May 31st. 2. This event requires proof of full vaccination (two doses of Pfizer/Moderna or one dose of Johnson & Johnson) to confirm each participant's attendance. Please submit proof of vaccination to this form for review by Vera's People Resources team as soon as possible so you can proceed with booking travel. 3. Please note travel cannot be booked until your registration is complete, and your vaccination information is submitted via the form and cleared by Vera's People Resources team. Travel to and from the convening, hotel accommodations, and meals are covered by Vera. The convening will start at 3:30pm ET on July 19 and it will end by 3:30pm ET on July 20.
