*ALL SCHOOL EMPLOYEES TRAIN FREE* (ALL participants MUST REGISTER) As a leader in the community we feel it is our responsibility to provide sound and effective self-defense skills and strategies to combat the horrific active shooter events that are so frequently befalling our schools and public places. While we, as a nation and individuals all take action to advocate for political and social change, we at Krav Oz and those we are affiliated with Active Killer Defense understand we have the ability to make people safer NOW, which is the primary goal of this seminar. We understand that our seminar will not rid the world of these events, but with this training we look to increase the safety of our entire community by giving participants the knowledge, tools, and permission to act should they ever need to. The seminar will start at 9 am and last until approximately 3 pm. During that time, we will break the day into 4 areas: · Armed Response: understanding the fundamentals of modern weapons and their weaknesses; · Unarmed Response: combative training and weapon disarms; · Trauma Care: tourniquets, wound packing, and pressure dressings; · Application Drills: incorporating the day’s training into a final scenario-based exercise. Please register using your school email address or check-in on the day of with your school ID. HURRY! SPACES ARE LIMITED! ARRIVAL TIME: Participants should arrive between 9-9:30 to sign waivers and get settled. Training will start promptly at 10 am. and will run till about 4 pm. MISC: Please dress in athletic clothing for a climate-controlled environment. Bring water or sports drink and high-energy snacks for the day. INSTRUCTOR INFO: Ehren Hollander and Chantell Prestcott-Hollander. Ehren Hollander is the owner of Krav Oz, LLC and is a lifelong martial artist and holds black belts in Krav Maga and the traditional Japanese martial arts of Shotokan Karate and Aikido, as well as over 20 years of experience between Muay Thai, boxing, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Judo, and collegiate-style wrestling. Ehren's has had the honor of teaching various law enforcement and military groups throughout the United States, including Special Operations Units. Chantell Prestcott-Hollander is the Program Director and a certified personal trainer who holds black belt in Krav Maga and has actively practiced and taught Krav Maga for 13 years. Chantell has had the opportunity to train and study in various other disciplines, including Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Chantell, has the honor of leading our women's self-defense programming and teaching it at the university level, as well as leading our youth and fitness program. As an educator and current school counselor, Chantell's passion lies in teaching as many school employees and students as possible about self-defense and responding to active killer scenarios. With their varied background, Ehren and Chantell focus on principle-based self-defense focusing on easy-to-learn, effective strategies and tactics meant for everyone.
