Press release from the Town of Westwood: May 25, 2022 June 14, 2022- Public Meeting The Hale Task Force and Hale Education Inc. will hold a Public Meeting on June 14, 2022, at 6:00 pm via Zoom Webinar. Representatives from the Hale Task Force and Hale Education Inc. will be in attendance to provide presentations and answer resident's questions. There will be an opportunity for public comment. In 2019, Hale offered the Town the opportunity to participate (along with the Town of Dover and private donors) in the purchase of a Conservation Restriction on Hale's 1,100 acres of open space, over 500 of which are in Westwood. The Hale Task Force (comprised of residents and town staff) met to review the Conservation Restriction (CR) proposal and to familiarize itself with Hale's plans and its property. The Task Force presented its recommendation to the Select Board at its meeting on January 24, 2022. For more information on the Hale Conservation Restriction, please visit the Hale website.
