Police Search Foxborough School After Empty Threat

FOXBOROUGH, MA — Police rushed to a charter school in Foxborough Wednesday after reports of an unconfirmed threat on campus, the department said. The Foxborough Police Department said it "cleared all of the buildings on campus for any threats" while students and faculty were under a stay-in-place order. More than a dozen local officers and a Massachusetts state trooper searched the school, according to police. "We would like to thank the Foxborough Regional Charter School for their swift and decisive action in securing their students," the department said. Schools around the country are on high alert following the deadly shooting at an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas. The Foxborough Police Department is one of many in Massachusetts that stepped up its presence at local schools this week.
