DORCHESTER, MA — More than 20 firearm parts and accessories used to build "ghost guns" were discovered and confiscated during a search after the arrest of a Dorchester man earlier this week. Edmilson Andrade, 32, of Dorchester, was arrested Monday at 286 Columbia Road, police said adding that he was the subject of a search warrant. "Ghost guns" are unserialized and untraceable firearms that can be bought online and assembled at home. "In the execution of the warrant, officers were able to stop Andrade as he entered his motor vehicle," police said. "Officers were then able to peacefully make entry into the target address." Among the items recovered were: 19 plastic lower pistol receivers and four lower rifle receivers, two high-capacity magazines, slides for various firearms, numerous small gun parts; and hundreds of rounds of bullets in various sizes, a 3-D printer, 3 grams of a white powder, and suboxone strips. Andrade is being charged with trafficking a Class A Substance (Fentanyl), unlawful possession of ammunition, and possession of ammunition. Andrade is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District court at a later date.
