MOCO's Public Pools Opening For The Season Memorial Day Weekend

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD — As summer rapidly approaches, Montgomery County is getting ready for residents who will be looking to cool off. The county public pools are scheduled to open Memorial Day weekend, with preseason hours. From May 28 to June 17, pools will be open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 3 to 6 p.m. on weekends and on Memorial Day. The summer season runs from June 18 to Aug. 14 — hours then will be 1 to 4 p.m. and 5 to 8 p.m. on weekdays, and noon to 3 p.m. and 4 to 7 p.m. on weekends. The cost to swim is $5 daily for County residents (age 1 to 17), $7 for adults, and $6 for seniors (age 55 and up). Non-residents are charged $15 per day. Ayala Wheaton/Glenmont Outdoor Pool, 12621 Dalewood Drive, WheatonUpper County Outdoor Pool, 8211 Emory Grove Road, Gaithersburg"As the summer swim season gets underway, residents are encouraged to become familiar with the safety rules posted at the pools," the county said in its announcement. "Children are most at risk for water-related accidents and it is important they are always closely supervised while in and around the pool.
