POINT PLEASANT, NJ — As families continue to wrestle with the ripple effects of the Texas elementary school shooting, Point Pleasant Schools officials are focused on helping parents and children navigate the emotional impacts of the killings. In a letter to the school community, Point Pleasant Superintendent Adam Angelozzi and Nicole Hankins, the district's director of counseling, emphasized not only the plans the district has in place to protect staff and students, but the resources available to help families through the impact. "There will be extensive coverage on local and national news and discussion in our community about keeping our children safe," the letter said. "Furthermore, we would like to ensure that our students and their families feel supported in our school district community as we navigate the news of this horrific event. As always, the Point Pleasant Borough School District remains committed to the safety and security of our students and staff members."
