First, today's weather: A t-storm around in the p.m. High: 82 Low: 77. Here are the top three stories in Charleston today: The Charleston County Coroner's Office has identified the man found deceased in a hotel room at the Rivers Avenue Economy Inn. According to the office, Koshun Hightower died from a gunshot wound. The North Charleston Police Department is reportedly investigating the incident as a homicide. (Live 5 News WCSC)The Charleston City Council has renewed the lease of the Charleston homeless outreach center. The renewal decision was unanimous. The city has announced plans to move the center from its 529 Meeting St. location after the lease is up next year. The center is planned to be moved to a facility between 3 and 9 Cunnington Ave. (Charleston Post Courier)Data released by the Charleston Police Department indicates that car break-ins in the area of Calhoun Street to Pittsburgh Avenue are on the rise. Car break-ins have risen by 255 percent compared to the same time last year. The department is reminding the community to lock car doors and not leave any valuables in a vehicle.
