Press release from the Jefferson Parish Government: May 24, 2022 JEFFERSON, LA – The northbound lane of Mississippi Ave., between 27th St. and Fulton St., will be closed until 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, weather permitting. Please note, the northbound lane will be closed for the first couple of months, the closure of the southbound lane of Mississippi Ave. will follow. See below for detour routes for northbound and southbound Mississippi Ave.: This closure is necessary for upgrades to a lift station at a cost of $1.3 million dollars.
