Motorcyclist Breaks Femur, Ankle In North Park Crash

SAN DIEGO, CA — A 28-year-old motorcyclist was hospitalized Thursday with a fractured left femur and a fractured left ankle sustained when he was struck by a car in North Park. San Diego Police Department Officers were called at 7:57 p.m. Wednesday to the intersection of Lincoln Avenue and 30th Street where they learned a 27-year-old man driving a 2008 Toyota Prius southbound on 30th Street struck the motorcyclist, who was driving a 2004 Harley Davison motorcycle northbound, said Officer Robert Heims. The motorcyclist was taken to a hospital, Heims said. The driver of the Prius was not injured. Police said alcohol was not a factor in the collision. The department's Traffic Division is investigating the collision and anyone with information related to it was asked to call 858- 495-7800 or Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477. — City News Service
