**This is rated as an 'easy' hike**
We did this trail in March - it is mostly dirt, not a lot of rocks. Definitely an easy trail with slight inclines.
Hidden Valley Natural Area Loop is a 3.2 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Kansas City, Missouri that features beautiful wild flowers and is good for all skill levels.
Hike through a natural planting program that Kansas City Parks and Recreation has carried out in the first part of the hike, then through woods to a lookout on a high wooded ravine. From there, you can hike further back to a cliff overlooking the Missouri River and 210 Highway.
Getting there:
From I-35 North, turn on to Armour and go East. Take Searcy Creek Parkway North to Russell Road (About 1 mile). Turn right on Russell for .5 miles and park in the lot on the North side of the road. The trailhead is on the south side opposite the parking lot.
It is recommended to wear sturdy shoes, bring water, dress in layers and hiking poles. Don't forget your bug spray!!!!
