LA GRANGE, IL – A La Grange man was arrested after an argument last week, police said. Ryan Smith, 29, was charged with simple assault and criminal damage to property. The incident happened about 4 p.m. Friday in the 100 block of East Avenue, where he lives, police said. Smith broke a windshield after getting into an argument with the car's driver, according to a report. In March, Smith was arrested on a domestic battery charge in the 400 block of Plainfield Road in La Grange, police said.
