Press release from the Wright County Government: May 25, 2022 On 05/24/22 at approximately 2:55 PM Wright County deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash on County RD 6 SW near the intersection of 30th ST SW in Middleville Twp. Deputies along with Howard Lake Police learned through evidence at the scene as well as from witness statements that a 2013 Chrysler 200 being driven by Stephanie Tomann (32 year old from Annandale) was travelling northbound on County Rd. 6 SW and drifted into the southbound lane. Tomann's vehicle struck a southbound 2010 Peterbilt dump truck being driven by Blake Koch (26 year old from Darwin). Tomann was pronounced deceased at the scene by emergency medical personnel. Koch was uninjured. Both vehicles suffered heavy damage and were towed from the scene. Deputies were assisted at the scene by Howard Lake Police, Howard Lake Fire, Howard Lake Ambulance, as well as the Minnesota State Patrol.
