GILROY, CA — Anyone planning a community event in Gilroy with an emphasis on arts and culture this year is encouraged to apply for the city's Arts and Culture Commission Community Engagement Grant. The deadline to apply for the grants, which are worth up to $2,500, is Friday. After the event, grant recipients will be asked to submit a brief report on the event and provide photos. Applications are due by Friday at 5 p.m. Grant awardees will be announced by the Arts and Culture Commission during the June 14 Arts and Culture Commission meeting.
