Press release from the City Of Davis: May 24, 2022 Qualified low-income homeowners can receive a full refund of their Davis Park Maintenance Tax and Open Space Protection Tax for 2021-2022 by returning a completed city application form by June 30, 2022. This is an annual refund program (not an exemption from the tax) that appears on the property tax bill. To be eligible, applicants must be owner-occupants of property in Davis and meet the low-income requirements for the gross or total combined household income. Maximum income limits for both taxes are based on 50% of median income for the household size. For example, the total or gross combined household income for one person cannot exceed $34.700. The limit for a family of two cannot exceed $39,650, for a family of four it is $49,550 and for a family of eight it is $65,450. Only one application is required for both refund programs. For the application, visit www.cityofdavis.org/LIRP or contact the Finance Department at [email protected] or 530-757-5651. Applications will also be available for pick-up at the following locations in Davis: •Davis Senior Center: 646 A Street •City Hall Finance Department: 23 Russell Boulevard •Police Department: 2600 5th Street Residents can return completed applications by: mailing to City Hall Finance Department at 23 Russell Blvd, depositing in the parking lot drop box, or personally to the City Hall Finance Department.
