We are looking for people to be on call from June 1st - December 31st, or as close to that as you can be! We build temporary community resource centers all over California during times of high fire danger and/or winter storms. The purpose of these Community Resource Centers (CRC's) is to provide aid to impacted communities, supplying them with food, water, small batteries to charge devices, and blankets if needed. During an activation, you would drive to the agreed upon location and setup our equipment that we deliver, staff the site until the end of the event, then pack up our equipment at the end of the event and prepare for travel. There are typically 4-6 activations throughout the year that are in operation for 2-5 days at a time. This is a great opportunity to see different parts of California (sometimes they are close to home as well) and help out communities in their time of need. We are offering to pay $30 an hour, cover all housing and food costs during the activation, plus a $1000 bonus if you commit to being on call for 6 activations.
